Yesterday's location scout proved fruitful. The owner of the Corner Cafe at 1490 Pemberton in North Vancouver (which is pictured in many of the photos for this project) was open to the idea of us filming there. It captured the feeling of a place lost in time that I wanted. Located in an industrial like area, it had a sensibility of being remote. It also had a lot of set elements that would reduce costs in the art department. The owner would not close his business for us and is asking for $700 per day, and we would need it for at least for 2 days.
